1. What you're buying
You buy the right to display content on the block(s) assigned to you for 12 months from the day they go live. Before that period ends we email you an offer to renew for a further 12 months; if you do not renew, your content is removed and the blocks may be offered again. You are buying ad space for a fixed term, not ownership of the website or any pixel. Prices shown exclude GST, which is added at checkout at the applicable rate.
What you can display depends on the wall, and each wall states its own terms on its own page before you pay:
- The wall open today — the Diwali Green Wall: one image, one supporter name, one short message and one hyperlink. A block with no image shows the pixeltrees mark, and the wall's own hidden artwork is uncovered as blocks are claimed.
- If a wall ever sells blocks without an image, its own page says so before you pay, and the "wall that accepts no image" rules below apply to it.
2. Moderation
On a wall that accepts images, every image is reviewed by a human before it appears. We may reject any content at our sole discretion. If we reject your image, we refund your payment in full and your blocks are released.
On a wall that accepts no image, there is nothing to review, so your blocks go live as soon as your payment is captured. Your name, message and link must still meet the content rules in section 3, and we may remove any of them that do not.
Content that has gone live may later be removed if it breaches these terms or Indian law. Where removal is because of your breach, no refund is due. Where we remove your content for our own reasons and you are not in breach, section 6 applies.
3. Content rules
- Where you upload an image, you must own the rights to it or have permission to use it.
- No sexually explicit material, hate speech, harassment, or content that is unlawful under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it (including the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021).
- No scams, malware links, phishing, deceptive or illegal products or services.
- Your link destination must match what your block reasonably implies — your image where there is one, and otherwise your name and message.
- We reject your image in moderation. This applies only on a wall that accepts images — see section 1.
- Your payment was captured but your blocks could not be allocated.
- We remove your content before the 12 months are up for our own reasons, and you are not in breach of these terms. In that case we refund the unused part of your term, counted in whole months.
These apply to everything you put on a block — your image where the wall takes one, and your name, message and link on every wall.
4. Copyright and liability
You retain ownership of the content you supply — your image where the wall takes one, and your name, message and link on every wall — and grant us a worldwide licence to display it on the site and in promotion of the site. You indemnify us against claims arising from content you supply. We operate a notice-and-takedown process consistent with the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and the IT Act intermediary framework.
5. No guarantees
We make no promises about traffic, clicks, or visibility of your blocks. The site is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Refunds
We refund you in full, without you having to ask, in these cases:
On a wall that accepts no image, your blocks go live as soon as your payment is captured, so the first case above cannot arise there. The other two still do.
There are no change-of-mind refunds: blocks are digital space delivered at once. A refund removes your name from the wall and returns your blocks to the unclaimed state, and the tree pledge from refunded blocks is not planted (see the refund policy).
If you think you are owed a refund and it has not arrived, write to support@pixeltrees.in with your order reference, or contact the grievance officer. We acknowledge within 24 hours and give you a decision, with reasons, within 15 days. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under Indian consumer law.
7. Reveal walls, names on blocks, and tree pledges
On a reveal wall your payment reveals a contiguous region of the artwork, and your display name (if you provide one) is shown on that region. You may choose where your region goes by tapping a spot on the board before you pay; on the Diwali Green Wall the spot is placed within the area of the category you chose. If your chosen spot has no room, your region is placed at the nearest free spot, and if you choose no spot the system places it. A spot is held only for the checkout window after you start payment; it cannot be reserved in advance or transferred. Your payment also counts toward the collective tree pledge shown on the page. Tree pledges are fulfilled per the process, buffer, and disclaimer on the nursery page: any suitable sapling species, planted where land, season, and availability allow. CO₂ figures on this site are estimates, not certified carbon offsets, and nothing on this site is a carbon credit.
8. Contest
The tagline contest is a free-entry contest of skill governed by the contest rules. No purchase is necessary, purchases do not improve chances, and referrals do not affect judging.
9. Supporter names
If you add a display name or message with a reveal-wall purchase, it appears in the public supporters feed AND printed on your blocks on the wall. Names and messages must follow the content rules (no impersonation, hate, obscenity, or advertising of illegal goods). We may hide any name or message that breaches the content rules, without a refund being due; the blocks stay revealed.
